I searched “Sanibel Island Campgrounds” and found the Periwinkle Park Campground. It’s about half a mile from the beach which is close enough to get me to the beach at the right time to find the best shells!

Next .. I figured it would take us 37 hours to drive from Southern California to Sanibel Island and if we’re driving across the country, you can bet we will be stopping at many spots along the way … espcially BBQ restaurants/hole-in-the-walls !!! We love BBQ!!

Thinking more about it .. I would like to drive across the country and then stay on Sanibel Island for about a month, especially after looking at their Facebook page! Great pictures and it just looks wonderful!!!

Have you camped on Sanibel Island? Any advice? What month is the best month to find the best shells?
I can’t wait to go there and CAMP!!!!
Can we bring our dog, She’s well trained and has been camping many times?
I’m sorry I don’t know that answer! You would have to contact the place you would be staying and ask them. Hope you have fun!
